Trouble connecting or linking PLC to computer or laptop

If you are having problem connecting your computer or laptop to the PLC or Programmable Logic Controller on your LearnLab training panel make sure that you have set-up the following:

  1. Make sure that power is applied to the PLC CPU unit by confirming that the lights are on at the CPU itself.
  2. Make sure you have the proper programming cable correctly connected.
  3. Make sure that you have properly installed the programming software.
  4. LearnLab does not assist in connecting your in-house computers with the training unit since we simply supply the PLC that is supported and manufactured by someone other that LearnLab. However, you may be able to obtain assistance from the manufacturer of the PLC itself. See below for links to help with specific PLC units.
